What is collaboration culture?
With the increasingly prominent culture of competition in academia, we want to make higher education something you strive toward and not stress over. Collaboration Culture was founded to promote access to quality college essay reviewing, application advising, and pre-professional peer mentorship.
Our Services
Currently Collab Culture is only offering essay reviewing and 30-minute advising appointments. Follow the links down below to find out more about how to submit an essay for review or book an advising appointment. One of our primary missions is to increase access to higher education for students without access to college counseling, first-generation students to attend college, and low-income folks. If you have extenuating financial circumstances that significantly hinder you from paying for any of our services, please fill out the Waiver Form.
Read our FAQ before contacting us with lingering questions.
Congratulations to our recent graduates for their acceptances to WashU, Pomona, Wesleyan, USC, CMU, Tufts, Vanderbilt, and more! đź’›
what makes collab culture different?
Large college consulting companies charge exorbitant amounts of money for essay reviewing, and packages are often inflexible. Whether you want a one-time essay review or seek longer-term advising, our team at Collab Culture want to help you in an individualized and flexible manner. Our mentors are people who are invested in your future success and harbor a genuine love for education mentorship. We especially seek to increase access to higher education for low-income students and/or those who will be the first in their family to attend college. If you identify as a first-gen or low-income student, fill out our Waiver Form to receive reduced cost or free advising/essay reviewing.
COLLEGE APPLICATIONS
CollegeSide Chats
Created by students for students, CollegeSide Chats was a series of online panels interviewing current college students at various universities about their experiences acclimating to college life. You can find all the recorded panels on YouTube.
Mission: Providing seniors an honest perspective into campus culture and student life at their admitted colleges. Also great if you’re looking for details about campus life to incorporate into your college essays.
College advice series
May has created a playlist of YouTube videos on everything from how to write a successful personal statement (right) to discussing accepted supplemental essays. Her other videos provide a glimpse into life and academics at Brown University.

“I peered over at the register screen and mumbled the order under my breath: a large #1 with boba and 30% sugar. I grabbed a shaker, scooped ice up to the rim, pressed “1.5” on the sugar machine, and waited for the milk tea to flood the ice. Shake, check the bottom for undissolved sugar, pour, scoop out extra ice and froth from the surface, wipe the cup with a dry towel. When I handed the drink to the customer with a smile illuminating my face, the lady took one sip and scowled.”
