How are essays reviewed?

Go to our Essay Reviewing page to see the types of college essays we review. You can purchase either 1 or 3 rounds of edits through the store and will be asked to submit your essay when filling out the form. Essays can either be submitted as a Word document or shared through GoogleDrive link. We ask that you also submit a resume, CV, or short autobiography so that edits can be made in the context of your overarching personal and academic goals. Detailed in-line comments regarding topic choice, content, syntax, word choice, and more are included in our review. At the end of the document, our essay reviewer will leave an overall summary paragraph detailing their thoughts and main tips for improving the essay. Reviewing your essay is an interactive exchange, we are happy to set up a call if you would like to discuss your edits over the phone and we can always be reached through email.

How long does it take to get my edits back?

It takes roughly one week maximum to get edits back to you. Often times, we will get edits back within 4-5 days or less, but it ultimately depends on your mentor’s availability. We will notify you by email when your edits have been completed, along with our major takeaways and suggestions for your future revisions. If you have not received your edits within a week, please email us!

Can you write essays on our behalf?

No. We will not write essays or make extensive changes on your behalf. Our edits are meant to allow for you to implement changes while maintaining your creative voice.

What if I can’t afford the cost of essay reviewing or personal advising?

Collab Culture was founded in the belief that higher education should be accessible to everyone, not just the wealthy. If you can’t afford the cost of essay reviewing or personal advising, please fill out the Waiver Form for our team to review.

Who sees the documents I submit?

We take privacy seriously, and your essays and personal information will never be shared with any third party or posted on the website without your permission. Click here to read our privacy policy.
